Since the 2024 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations kick-off, Higher{Education and Training Minister, Dr Nobuhle Pamela Nkabane, has reminded all matriculants to seize the chance to submit an application for funding through the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).
"The applying window will close on 15 December 2024, and you'll find not many days left to post applications. Suitable college students are urged to apply promptly to secure money help for their post-school education," Nkabane said.
Nkabane extended well wishes to all matriculants, who sat for the National Senior Certificate Examinations, with learners writing languages, English and Afrikaans Paper three.
Nkabane explained this pivotal moment marks the fruits of years of effort and encourages the Class of 2024 to approach their tests with perseverance and self confidence.
With Just more than 880 000 candidates, including 727 121 full-time and 155,215 part-time candidates from across South Africa sit for this yr's matric tests, across South Africa, Basic Education Minister, Siviwe Gwarube, has assured the general public of the department's preparedness to administer the tests smoothly.
